Thomas Hertog is the Editor of the Wealth Hazards newsletter. It’s purpose is to help readers to learn how to identify risks or threats to their financial health. One objective is to provide examples of how best to avoid, manage, and recover from challenging events and how to reduce the likelihood of their continued effects. Another goal is to provide a framework that includes tools to help to avoid, manage, and recover from life’s wealth hazards. A new book, “Wealth Hazards - Surviving the Recovery” is scheduled to be released in October 2009. Thomas joined Wealth Hazards after serving as Chief Compliance Officer of the Zacks Companies. He provided leadership in regulatory compliance matters for Zacks Investment Management, Zacks Investment Research, and Zacks & Company. He holds the FINRA series 7, 24, 28, 55, 66 & 87 securities licenses. Prior to Zacks he worked for Arthur Andersen, LLP. At Arthur Andersen he managed a team of professionals within the Global Best Practices group. There he collaborated with firm personnel to deliver best practices solutions to Arthur Andersen staff and their clients around the world. Thomas received his bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Edison State College. He is based in the Wealth Hazard’s office in Atlanta. He resides outside of Atlanta with his wife Linda, their daughter Grace and their son Grant.
